Important Message from Cigna Healthcare

At Cigna Healthcare, we continually monitor the global environment to ensure we can continue to support the health, well-being and peace of mind of our customers.
|
|
We have been advised by our correspondent bank that they will no longer be processing transactions: 1) going into or out of Belarus, or 2) involving counterparties located in Belarus. As a result of this, Cigna Healthcare will no longer be able to reimburse claims to a bank account or a healthcare provider located in Belarus.
|
|
|
If a member has a bank account located in Belarus, we require them to provide a valid alternative account in their name outside Belarus for reimbursement or we will be unable to pay their claims. As these restrictions also apply to counterparties located in Belarus, we will also require a valid member mailing address outside Belarus to ensure we are complying with our correspondent bank requirements. Members can do this via their online customer area or by contacting their dedicated customer service team.

These changes may also impact the way members receive treatment, as we will no longer be able to directly reimburse a Belarusian healthcare provider.
|
|
|
|
To ensure compliance with the changes imposed by our correspondent bank, Cigna will cease processing any transaction going into or out of Belarus, or involving counterparties located in Belarus by 28th February 2025.
|
Treatment in Belarus
|
|
As noted above, we will no longer be able to directly reimburse a Belarusian healthcare provider, and this may impact the way members choose to receive treatment.
|
|
Should members nevertheless require treatment in Belarus, they should log into their customer portal to find a suitable provider. They should then contact our partner in the region, AP Companies, who may be able to provide a guarantee of payment and assist with questions regarding their treatment.
